Insidious Chapter 2 Comes ...

Insidious 2 Is Not As Scary As Its Previous

Efforts..With No New Tricks to Impress

Us.....

Cast :- Andrew Astor, Angur Sampson, Barbara, Leigh...

Director :- James Wan

Cinematography :-  John R Leonetti

Genre : -Thriller,Horror

Our Rating :- 2.5/5

The Conjuring team returns to the tale of a couple troubled by spirits who want to kill their family. Rose Bryne & Patrick Wilson play the roles of husband & wife who saved their child from the clutches of a demon, unfortunately they paid a price for it.

The films starts from the original Insidious where hypnotist Elise Rainer( Lin Shaye) informs Mrs. Lambert who complains for paranormal activities that the problem is not with their house but with their son  Josh. Josh (Patrick Wilson) is a married man & has 3 Kids. While Josh saves his elder son Dalton(Ty Simpkins) from the evil, they find that he has the ability to travel while in his sleep to ‘The Further’.  But Lambert tries to find why the evil forced haunt them. With the hep of  paranormal scrutinising associates , Josh’s mother , an ex- hospital employee Lorraine helps them to find an old man Parker whom the believed was linked to their problem.

The second chapter is hugely flawed due to lack of attention towards writing part. There is nothing extraordinary about the film & is almost predictable. If horror is your favorite , you may be disappointed with Insidious Chapter 2.

Performance

The characters are as usual. The lead pair of Wilson & Byrne do a fantastic job. Barbara who played as Wilson’s mother was excellent as well. The casting has been repeated & is perfect. All actors manages to do their best & tries to impress us with their performance.

Music

There is nothing special about the music of the film. But the element that stands out is the background score of the film.

Technical Aspects

John R Leonetti's cinematography was nice which made the audience patiently watch the film.

Direction & Screenplay

The premise of this film may seem to be novel & exciting but the director James Wan has employed all Cliched tricks like flash lights & shaky camera which sets up a usual horror flick. There is nothing absurd or novel in the screen play except for the climax.

Rating : 2.5/5

Verdict :- The seasoned horror flick fans feels insipid & it leaves many things unanswered. Watch it for the horror experience. But As a whole ..it fails to Impress !!!
