Ramleela is an adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Romeo & Juliet' in Gujarat (India). The movie takes place in a village where Ram (Ranveer Singh) and Leela (Deepika Padukone) lives where there is no difficulty in finding arms. They belong to 2 different clans, Rajadi and Sanada.
The story progresses with the meeting and then the love story between Ram & Leela. Both the actors have worked with such a chemistry that even we tend to fall in love. There are some intimate scenes between Ram & Leela which has been beautifully portrayed & well played by the actors.
The film seems to be very "rich" in terms of its frames, costumes, and sets. The Director, Sanjay Bhansali has paid complete justice to the film and has showed his amazing skill. He has also composed the music for the film, which turned out to be a great hit. All songs have a folkish touch and is very well pictorised.
Performance
There isn't many actors to be said about in this film. Its all about Ranveer and Deepika. I should say that both have done it extremely well. Especially Deepika, not only in acting but also in dance as well. Her dance in 'Nagada Sang Dhol' deserves an applause. She was living as Leela. Ranveer on the other hand has created a 'super star' effect in the film.
Music
The music for the film Ramleela has been composed by Sanjay Bhansali itself. All songs are pleasant to ears as well as to eyes. The entry song of the hero 'Tattad Tattad' is really a good one. And also 'Ang Laga de' is a song which carries a lot of emotions.
Direction
The film shows how good Sanjay Bhansali is in directed. It is never easy to direct a film like this successfully and he has done it.
Verdict : A perfect 'Sanjay Bhansali' film and truly an amazing one. Never miss the Ram-Leela romance
