Aarambam (Arrambam) Tamil Movie Hits The Theater Review...
Ashok Kumar known as AK (Ajith Kumar) bombs 3 buildings in the main centers of Mumbai which he himself informs the police anonymously. His mission is to explore the bullet proof jacket scam involving some higher officials and the government. His reason for his mission is the death of his closest friend Sanjay (Rana Daggubati). On his mission he selects a highly intelligent technocrat Arjun (Arya) for helping him as a hacker. Maya(Nayanthara) plays a powerful role supporting AK for accomplishing his mission.Anitha (Tapsee Thannu) is Arjun's lover.AK's policy is to threaten the people for his genuine needs. How he expose the scam & how he traps the officials forms the rest of the plot.
Aarambam is of course a highly stylish film in which Ajith rendered a massive performance. Aarambam is not bad but it lacks creative touch. The films do show a bit of similarity with his early venture Mankatha.
So finally Aarambam is a stylish mass film that almost all category of the people could enjoy without getting bored.
Performance
Ajith did justice to his role while playing as AK.He is the soul of the film. Arya too showed his talent as he did recently in Raja Rani. Nayanthara is as usual a stylish woman supporting Ajith. The others fit to their roles perfectly. One of the major positive point of Aarambam is its casting.
Technical Aspects
The cinematography by Om Prakash stands out. Editing is average.
Music
Music from Yuvan Sankar Raja is a let down in the sense that it's not interesting but it doesn't make you yawn.
Direction & Screenplay
In the direction part Vishnuvardhan proved himself as an able director from whom we could expect much more. The script writer being the director could have concentrated more in making this a stylish outing.
Verdict:- Aarambam as a whole is an interesting stylish movie from Ajith. Watch it only for the mass experience. Go with less Expectations.
Rating: 3/5 Massive Entertainer.Above Average. Worth a Watch
